IdealShape Shake Review

IdealShape Meal Replacement Shake Review Rating

I’d heard that IdealShape was supposed to be a pretty decent meal replacement shake. And since it’s cheap (which is explained more below), I figured I’d review it. Here are my thoughts.

IdealShape is one of the most affordable shakes that I’ve looked at. You can get a 30 day supply for just $50, which breaks down to around $1.50 per shake. That’s much cheaper than a six-inch sub at Subway, so I think even Jared would approve.

With IdealShape you get two flavors: chocolate and vanilla. I tried the chocolate. It wasn’t like drinking a Yoohoo or anything, but it did have a reasonable chocolatey flavor. But in order to make it taste a little better, I mixed in some almond milk. That helped. Overall, the flavor didn’t blow me away like other shakes. So I’d say it was just okay.

IdealShape contains Slendesta, which is supposed to be an all-natural hunger blocker extracted from white potatoes. Now I don’t know the science of potatoes, but I felt hungry sooner after having one of these shakes compared to some of the others. I’m not sure if anyone else had this same reaction, but my appetite didn’t stay as blocked as I wanted it to be.

I’m not sure where all of IdealShape’s chocolate taste came from. It certainly wasn’t from the 2 grams of sugar, which was pretty low for a meal replacement shake. The 120 calories (30 from fat) was also really reasonable. And when you factor in the 21 vitamins added into the mix, this is a pretty nutritious shake.

If you’re just starting out with meal replacement shakes, IdealShape would be a great place to begin. There are better shakes, but this one is pretty cheap. So worst case scenario, even if this shake isn’t right for you, it won’t break the bank.

The thought Ideal Shake was pretty good. It blocked hunger well and mixed with milk easily

I was referred to shakelogy (haven’t tried yet), but researched for a cheaper, but comparable alternative and found idealshape. I happen to like it. It’s not dessert, but isn’t disgusting by any means. I choose not to mix with anything but water for the lower calorie count. I drink water after the shake (per directions) t keep me full longer! Definitely suggested for someone looking for a good, cost effective shake. Does the job!

This shake has 1 gram of sugar, not 2 as listed in your review.

I find the taste extremely good and better than a lot of other shakes. My 18 year old took a whiff of the canister when I opened it and exclaimed how it smelled like cake batter, and once mixed he loved it. Many of the women I work with are using a different meal replacement shake and are amazed at how much better this one tastes. They will all be switching. I do mix the vanilla with unsweetened almond milk and sometimes add blueberries or strawberries, but even without these things added it is very good. Chocolate is very good as well. I wish they made a few other flavors.

I started this after trying Herbalife, Shakeology & Rawfit. The ratings were. Great but the taste had a domino effect of bad karma! Because if the chalky vitamin taste, I found myself saying to heck with it and just eating regular food and gained some of the weight back I lost on Herbalife. Unfortunately, I had to send it back because I wasn’t satisfied.

Thanks, Jay! I hear you on the taste. I had to mix it with something to make it taste more flavorful. If you got the vanilla flavor, I think you can add orange juice or strawberries to help cut the vitamin taste.
